Our Services

About our Eye Exams

We strongly believe in keeping our eyes in the best possible health and recommend an annual comprehensive exam to check the vision and health of your eyes. When your appointment is scheduled that time is set aside especially for you to ensure all your questions are answered and needs are met. Our office provides detailed comprehensive and medical exams for children and adults.

Contact Lenses

As contact lens specialists we fit many types of lenses including gas permeable, multifocal, contacts for astigmatism and contacts for keratoconus. Dr. Neel and Dr. Tregellas will work with you until we find a lens that fits and provides you with the best vision possible.

Contact lenses are considered a medical device. In order to receive a prescription for contacts a contact lens exam is required. Fitting fees for this vary depending on the complexity of the fit. Feel free to call our office to go over fees before your exam.

Lasik

Are you finding that your glasses or contacts are becoming more of an inconvenience for you? Lasik may be the answer. The doctors offer attentive pre- and post-op care and co-manage with ClearView Laser Vision Center in Southlake where they perform the blade free IntraLase.

Glaucoma Management

Dr. Tregellas is our optometric glaucoma specialist. Glaucoma ia a disease that is normally associated with high pressure and can result in loss of vision if not treated properly. We offer hi-tech instrumentation to help maintain the highest quality of treatment and care.

Dry Eye Evaluations

Are your eyes feeling gritty? Are you light sensitive? Vision becoming more blurred? Do you have excessive tearing? You may be suffering from dry eyes. There are many activities in our every day life that can contribute to these symptoms such as long hours at the computer or reading, and just poor air quality. With proper treatment we can help improve comfort and your quality of vision.

Advanced Diagnostic Testing

Your annual routine exam is the first step in making sure your eyes are healthy and is the best way to detect possible medical issues; however, in some cases additional testing may be necessary.

Retinal Photos give us a detailed internal look at the blood vessels inside the retina. This view can show signs of high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes that may not be detected with your routine exam and dilation.

External Ocular Photos will show us a magnified view of the eye, lids and lashes. This can show problems such as blood vessel encroachment and even signs of cancer around the lashes and on the lids.

Automated Perimeter detects signs of glaucoma, macular degeneration, neurological problems and complications caused by diabetes and high blood pressure.

Pachymeter is an ultrasound that measures the thickness of the cornea. This may be done as part of the Lasik pre-op or glaucoma management.

Tonometer checks the internal eye pressure.

Automatic Refractor takes a refraction and measures the curvature of the cornea.

OCT - Ocular Coherence Tomography Aids in the diagnosis of glaucoma, neurological, retinal and macular disease. Early detection of sight threatening diseases is crucial as there are no outward signs of symptoms in early stages./p>
